Allison M. Van

Biography

Allison Van went to undergrad at Drake University where she studied Business Law with a minor in Management. Allie participated in Drake Law School’s 3+3 Program, which allowed her to earn her undergraduate degree and law degree in six years. In law school, Allie was on the Drake Journal of Agricultural Law, first as a junior staff member and later as the Projects Manager during her 3L year. Allie was also a student attorney in Drake’s Entrepreneurial and Transactional Law Clinic, where she gained valuable experiencing representing real clients. She went on to graduate from Drake University Law School. 

Prior to working at Carmoney Law Firm, Allie was a summer intern for Chief Judge Sara Darrow at the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois and participated in Drake Law School’s Honors Judicial Internship at the Iowa Court of Appeals. Allie also clerked at another Des Moines-based firm where she gained experience in business law and immigration law. 

Allie practices a wide variety of civil litigation areas, including insurance defense, underinsured motorist defense, and personal injury cases. Allie is licensed to practice law in the state of Iowa and is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association.
