FUN FACTS ABOUT OUR FIRM

Mike Carmoney started collecting pinball machines during the 2020 pandemic. His hobby grew over the years to not only collecting but also restoring and repairing classic pinball machines. Today, he has 32 pinball machines, which are housed in various locations like the firm’s office and even a local residential facility for adults with special needs.  These machines were manufactured from 1971 through 2024 and Mike performs any maintenance needed to keep the machines in pristine condition. After a long day in the office many in the firm will gather for rounds of pinball to blow off steam.  The hobby has spread amongst the firm, and some have started their own collections or have traveled to conventions showcasing these machines.  Attorney Lisa Perdue even holds a high score on one machine, Fish Tales, that falls within the Top 40 ranked on Pinside’s Top 100.

MEET SKYE AND REMY

Skye and Remy are two golden retrievers owned by our partner Amanda Richards. They joined the Carmoney Law Firm in 2025 and can be seen working in our Quad Cities office. Skye, an English Cream Golden Retriever, became a certified therapy dog in October 2024 and proudly volunteers with the Quad Cities Canine Assistance Network (QCCAN). QCCAN is a non-profit organization that provides volunteer therapy dogs to a variety of settings throughout the Quad Cities area.  With a special focus on supporting children and teens, Skye visits libraries, schools, and colleges, and also works in mental health settings to help young people navigate life’s toughest challenges.  She is quickly approaching 100 visits and has already touched the lives of thousands with her gentle spirit and wagging tail. Her “little sister,” Remy, a dark red Golden Retriever, recently passed her Canine Good Citizen test in 2025 and is working toward her own therapy certification so she can join Skye in her mission.   Remy loves working with adults and with her calm demeanor plans to focus her work on employee de-stress events and nursing homes.  Both Skye and Remy bring warmth, comfort, and smiles to everyone at the firm and to all who walk through our doors.
