Allison J. Frederick is an attorney with Carmoney Law Firm, PLLC. Allison has practiced law in Iowa since 2006. Prior to joining the Carmoney law offices in early 2014, Allison worked with Mike Carmoney for a number of years at another Des Moines-based law firm, practicing primarily in the area of insurance defense.
The scope of Allison’s practice spreads across a wide spectrum of civil litigation and appeals, and includes personal injury and property damage litigation, workers’ compensation defense, construction defect claims, products liability, motor vehicle accidents, intentional torts, business litigation, contract construction and disputes, and employment issues. She also has direct experience handling insurance fraud investigation, taking examinations under oath, and developing comprehensive coverage recommendations for first-party claims.
Allison graduated summa cum laude from Cornell College in 2003, and with high distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2006. She was the managing editor of the Iowa Law Review in 2005-2006, and her note, entitled The FBI’s I-Drive and the Right to a Fair Trial, appears at 91 Iowa L. Rev. 1571 (2006).
Upon graduation, Allison was selected to serve a one-year clerkship with Justice Daryl Hecht of the Iowa Supreme Court. This provided her with the unique opportunity to experience and understand the appellate process from an insider’s perspective.
Allison is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, and is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Iowa.
