Joseph S. Duggan

Biography

Joe Duggan earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Iowa. During his time at the University of Iowa, Joe spent a semester living in Washington D.C. working as a legislative intern for United States Senator Chuck Grassley. This experience solidified Joe’s appreciation for the legislative process and the important role that law plays in everyday life. He then pursued his law degree at Drake Law School, graduating in 2025 with honors. During law school, Joe was actively involved with the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity and served as a junior staff member for the Drake University Journal of Agricultural Law, dedicated to the review of legal issues affecting the agricultural industry.

In addition to Joe’s academic background, he received practical hands-on experience through a two-year clerkship at a well-known Des Moines, Iowa based Plaintiff’s firm. He gained invaluable experience handling different Plaintiff claims, including personal injury, contractual disputes, and property damage.  Joe also had the opportunity to second chair a medical malpractice jury trial during the summer following his first year of law school. His experience on the Plaintiff’s side brings a unique prospective to his insurance defense practice.
