Mike Carmoney has endeavored to be that kind of specialist, by enrolling in college-level fire science course work, by independently studying NFPA 921 and other industry-recognized source material, by passing the examination to become a Certified Fire & Explosion Investigator (CFEI), and by personally participating first-hand at numerous fire scene investigations.

Mike is a member of the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI) and the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI).  He has been a guest lecturer for college fire science classes, and is a frequent speaker on the subject of fire litigation to groups of attorneys and insurance personnel.
